1. OBJETIVOS Y PRINCIPIOS INSPIRADORES

Celebrate Innovation (Spain) es una iniciativa de Industrial Farmacéutica Cantabria S.A., empresa española con domicilio social en carretera Cazoña Adarzo S/N, 39001, Santander, España, con CIF nº: A39000914 (en adelante “CANTABRIA LABS”) para promover la investigación y la innovación (la “Iniciativa”).

Para CANTABRIA LABS, la innovación es abierta, compartida y participativa y la Iniciativa, en línea con ello, consiste en la presentación y premiación de proyectos en 5 áreas terapéuticas (en adelante, las “Categorías”)

• Fotobiología
• Acné
• Tricología
• Dermatología
• Inmunología. Premio Especial D. José Antonio Matji

La Iniciativa está abierta a cualquier proyecto y cualquier tecnología que pueda aplicarse a las Categorías, como por ejemplo desarrollo de moléculas y ingredientes, inteligencia artificial, diagnósticos, wearables, proyectos digitales.

2. PARTICIPANTES

La participación está abierta a todas las personas físicas y jurídicas, empresas, instituciones u organizaciones legalmente constituidas que deseen presentar sus proyectos en las categorías de interés de la Iniciativa.

No se permite participar en la Iniciativa a menores de 18 años, miembros del Comité de Selección y del Jurado, así como todos aquellos que colaboren en la organización de la Iniciativa, empleados y empresas del Grupo CANTABRIA LABS.

La participación en la iniciativa es gratuita y no implica ninguna restricción o compromiso de ninguna naturaleza fuera de las condiciones de participación previstas en este reglamento.

Los proyectos deben ser presentados por todos los coautores de estos mediante una única solicitud.

Cada participante puede presentar más de un proyecto.

3. CRITERIOS DE EVALUACIÓN

CANTABRIA LABS evaluará los proyectos de acuerdo con los criterios que se especifican a continuación:

• Innovación
• Sostenibilidad
• Potencial de desarrollo

4. ENVÍO DE SOLICITUDES

La presentación de los proyectos se realizará únicamente, en el período comprendido entre el 8 de octubre del 2021 al 28 de febrero del 2022 a través de la dirección https://www.cantabrialabs.es/nosotros/premios-celebrate-innovation/ y completando el formulario correspondiente. El formulario deberá ser completado en español o en inglés.

Los sujetos participantes asumen la responsabilidad del contenido de sus propuestas y de las obligaciones legales correspondientes. En consecuencia, CANTABRIA LABS no se hace responsable de ninguna infracción de derechos de terceros.

No se tendrán en cuenta las solicitudes recibidas de formas distinta a las indicadas y/o no acompañadas de toda la documentación requerida. CANTABRIA LABS no asume ninguna responsabilidad por retrasos o no recepción debido a errores telemáticos u otras causas no imputables al mismo.

5. SELECCIÓN Y PREMIACIÓN DE PROYECTOS

5.1 Fase de preselección de proyectos

Al finalizar la fase de presentación de proyectos, durante el período comprendido entre el 1 de marzo del 2022 al 31 de marzo del 2022, el Comité de Selección integrado por miembros internos de CANTABRIA LABS, evaluará la documentación recibida y procederá a la selección de los proyectos, hasta un máximo de 10 (diez) proyectos por Categoría, ajustándose a los criterios del apartado 3 y que mejor se adapten a la cultura de CANTABRIA LABS.

Durante esta selección, el Comité de Selección, si lo considera necesario, podrá solicitar documentación adicional para el análisis de los proyectos presentados.
Los participantes cuyas propuestas sean seleccionadas para pasar a la siguiente fase (fase final) serán notificados por correo electrónico, utilizando los datos de contacto indicados por los participantes en el formulario de entrada.

5.2 Fase Final

Los proyectos seleccionados serán presentados a un Jurado compuesto por representantes del Grupo CANTABRIA LABS y renombrados expertos externos, elegidos por CANTABRIA LABS entre representantes del mundo empresarial y académico.

Se fijará una sesión por cada una de las categorías y durante la mismas, los participantes tendrán 15 minutos para presentar las propuestas en directo al Jurado (de forma presencial o a distancia).

Mediante la aplicación de una puntuación y la redacción de la clasificación correspondiente, los proyectos ganadores y finalistas en cada Categoría serán seleccionados antes del 31 de mayo de 2022.

La ganadora, dentro de cada Categoría, será la propuesta que reciba la máxima puntuación. Las segunda y tercera propuestas serán consideradas finalistas.

5.3 Premiación

Los ganadores y finalistas de cada categoría serán anunciados durante el evento final de la Iniciativa en 2022.

El proyecto ganador de las categorías Fotobiología, Acné, Tricología y Dermatología recibirá una aportación dineraria de 25 mil euros brutos. El proyecto ganador de la categoría Inmunología – Premio Especial D. José Antonio Matji recibirá una aportación dineraria de 50 mil euros brutos. Sobre estas cantidades se aplicarán los impuestos que correspondan.

No obstante, CANTABRIA LABS podrá involucrar a cualquiera de los participantes, finalistas o no, para iniciar el desarrollo de sus proyectos, si las soluciones propuestas son de particular interés para CANTABRIA LABS.

CANTABRIA LABS se reserva el derecho de no otorgar premios donde considere que no se cumplen las condiciones.

6. PROPIEDAD INTELECTUAL, INDEMNIZACIONES Y GARANTÍAS

La titularidad del Proyecto pertenece al participante. Si CANTABRIA LABS muestra interés en la explotación de los derechos de propiedad intelectual o industrial relacionados con el Proyecto, ambas partes podrán negociar las condiciones de dicha explotación.

Al participar en esta iniciativa, cada participante declara expresamente que el proyecto y el contenido del mismo (incluidos los distintos formularios, resúmenes y presentaciones) es original y no viola en forma alguna, total o parcial, los derechos de propiedad intelectual o industrial de terceros, comprometiéndose desde ahora a indemnizar a CANTABRIA LABS y/o cualesquiera socios de cualquier y toda responsabilidad, reclamaciones por daños y/o sanciones por parte de terceros al respecto.

El participante garantiza que el contenido de su proyecto no es ofensivo o despectivo, no incita a la violencia o al racismo y no viola los derechos fundamentales o libertades civiles reconocidos en las normas y reglamentos aplicables sobre la protección de niños y menores, y que no constituyen ni suponen una intromisión en el ámbito personal o la intimidad familiar de las personas físicas, ni contraviene el derecho al honor de terceros o, en general, la legislación vigente.

7. CONFIDENCIALIDAD DE LA INFORMACIÓN

Al sumarse a la Iniciativa, cada participante acepta que si el proyecto es seleccionado para pasar a la Fase final, puede ser objeto de actividades de comunicación.

Los campos contenidos en la solicitud de participación y la correspondiente documentación adjunta son examinados únicamente por:

• el equipo de trabajo;
• el administrador de la plataforma web para la recopilación de aplicaciones;
• los miembros del Comité de Selección y del Jurado;
• Personas de dentro y fuera de CANTABRIA LABS o sociedades del Grupo CANTABRIA LABS que, por motivos relacionados con la gestión de esta iniciativa, deban tener acceso a ella.

Los referidos sujetos se comprometen a mantener y proteger la confidencialidad de los materiales e información remitidos para su evaluación, y a no utilizar la información relativa a los proyectos recibidos, salvo para los fines estrictamente relacionados con la iniciativa.

Al sumarse a la Iniciativa, cada participante autoriza el uso de su imagen en relación con la iniciativa, en caso de que su proyecto resultara ganador o finalista. Esta autorización se aplica a todo el mundo, de forma no exclusiva, para un periodo de cinco (5) años desde el primer uso y sin cargo.

8. EXCLUSIÓN

Quedan excluidos de la iniciativa quienes presenten declaraciones y/o documentos que contengan información parcial o totalmente falsa y/o incorrecta. Además, se excluyen todas las propuestas que sean:

• incompletas;
• enviadas después de la fecha límite indicada;
• contrarias a las reglas establecidas en este reglamento;
• vulneren los derechos de propiedad intelectual o industrial de terceros.

9. OBLIGACIONES DE LOS PARTICIPANTES

La participación en la iniciativa implica la aceptación plena e incondicional de los contenidos de este reglamento. Todos los cargos y gastos relacionados con la presentación de los proyectos son responsabilidad exclusiva de los candidatos.

Los candidatos declaran aceptar incondicionalmente las valoraciones de los proyectos en todas las fases en las que se divide la iniciativa, reconociendo la absoluta autonomía de decisión de CANTABRIA LABS y renunciando a cualquier reserva o controversia al respecto.

10. PUBLICIDAD

Este reglamento se publicará en la página web de CANTABRIA LABS, así como en la web de inscripción citada en el punto 4.

11. PROTECCION DE DATOS

De conformidad con y a los efectos del artículo 13 del Reglamento (UE) 2016/679 del Parlamento Europeo y del Consejo, de 27 de abril de 2016 relativo a la protección de las personas físicas en lo que respecta al tratamiento de datos personales y a la libre circulación de estos datos (“RGPD”), CANTABRIA LABS procesará los datos personales proporcionados por escrito o verbalmente y libremente comunicados, como Responsable del Tratamiento para las finalidades de la Iniciativa.

CANTABRIA LABS garantiza que el tratamiento de los datos personales se realiza respetando los derechos y libertades fundamentales, así como la dignidad del interesado, con especial referencia a la confidencialidad, la identidad personal y el derecho a la protección de los datos personales. Los detalles relacionados con el procesamiento de datos personales se encuentran en la información adjunta al Reglamento y al formulario de registro.

1. OBJECTIVES AND INSPIRING PRINCIPLES

Celebrate Innovation (Spain) is an initiative by Industrial Farmacéutica Cantabria S.A., with registered offices in Carretera Cazoña Adarzo S/N, 39001, Santander, España and VAT Code no. A39000914 (hereafter “CANTABRIA LABS”) aimed at promoting research and innovation (the “Initiative”).

In the opinion of CANTABRIA LABS innovation is open, shared and participatory and the initiative, in line with the foregoing, includes the submission and awarding of projects in 5 therapeutic areas (“Categories”):

• Photobiology
• Acne
• Trichology
• Dermatology
• Inmunology. Special Award D. José Antonio Matji

The initiative is open to any project and any technology that can be applied to the Categories in question such as, for example, the development of ingredients and molecules, Artificial Intelligence, diagnostic tools, wearables and digital projects.

2. PARTICIPANTS

Participation is open to all individuals and legal entities, legally constituted entities, organizations and institutions who wish to submit their projects that are coherent with the Categories covered by the Initiative.

The following are not permitted to participate in the Initiative: people under 18 years of age, members of the Selection Committee and the Jury, as well as all subjects who in various capacities collaborate with the organization of the Initiative and employees and companies in the CANTABRIA LABS Group.

Participation in the Initiative is free and does not involve any constraint or commitment of any nature outside the conditions of participation provided for in these regulations.

Projects must be submitted by all the co-authors of the same through a single application.

Each subject may submit more than one project.

3. EVALUATION CRITERIA

CANTABRIA LABS will evaluate the projects according to the following criteria:

• Innovation
• Sustainability
• Development Potential

4. PROJECT SUBMISSION

Projects must be submitted in their entirety in the period between the 8th of October 2021 and the 28th of February 2022 using the website dedicated to the Initiative at the following address https://www.cantabrialabs.es/nosotros/premios-celebrate-innovation/ by completing the registration form. The form must be completed either in Spanish or English.

Participating subjects take responsibility for the content of their proposals and compliance with applicable legislation. Consequently, CANTABRIA LABS is not responsible for any violations of third parties’ rights.

Requests received with methods other than those indicated and/or not accompanied by all the required documentation will not be taken into consideration. CANTABRIA LABS does not take any responsibility for delays or non-receipt due to telematic errors or other causes not attributable to it.

5. PROJECT SELECTION AND AWARDING

5.1 Pre-selection phase

At the end of the project submission phase, during the period between the 1st of March 2022 and the 31st of March 2022, the Selection Committee, composed of internal members of CANTABRIA LABS, will evaluate the documentation received and will proceed with selecting the projects to be admitted to the next stage, up to a maximum of 10 (ten) projects per Category on the basis of the evaluation criteria of the Initiative referred to in paragraph 3.

During selection participants could be contacted to provide insights on the project presented where the Selection Committee deems it useful or necessary.
Participants whose projects are selected to go onto the final stage will be informed by e-mail using the information provided in the registration form.

5.2 Final Phase

The selected projects will then be presented to a Jury composed of exponents of the CANTABRIA LABS Group and qualified and recognized external experts chosen by CANTABRIA LABS from people belonging to the business or academic world.

For each Category a presentation session will be set up during which the selected participants will have 15 minutes at their disposal to present their projects directly to the Jury (face to face or remotely).

Through the application of a score and the compilation of the relative ranking 1 winning project and 2 finalist projects will be selected for every Category by the 31st of May 2022.

Within each Category the winning project will be the one that receives the most points. The second and third projects of the relative ranking will be considered as finalists.

5.3 Award ceremony

The winners of each Category will be announced during the final event of the Initiative to be held during 2022.

The winning project of the Categories Photobiology, Acne, Trichology, Dermatology will receive a cash prize of 25 thousand euro and the winning project of the Category Inmunology – Special Award D. José Antonio Matji will receive a cash prize of 50 thousand euro, gross of any applicable taxes.

 

CANTABRIA LABS will be able to involve any participants, finalists or not, in order to initiate the development of projects if the solutions proposed are of particular interest to CANTABRIA LABS.

CANTABRIA LABS reserves the right not to award prizes where the conditions do not exist to do so.

6. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY, INDEMNITIES AND WARRANTIES

The authorship of projects remains with the participants. If CANTABRIA LABS is interested in obtaining the economic exploitation or industrial property rights to the project the parties will negotiate the relevant terms separately.

Through participation in the Initiative each participant expressly declares that the project submitted, as well as the relative content (including formulas, presentations and summaries), is original and does not breach, neither in whole nor in part, any third party intellectual or industrial property rights, indemnifying and undertaking, by adhering to these regulations, to hold CANTABRIA LABS and/or any partners harmless from any and all liability, claims for damages and/or sanctions made by third parties in this regard.

Participants guarantee that the contents of their projects are not offensive or derogatory, do not incite violence or racism and do not violate fundamental rights or civil liberties recognized by the applicable rules and regulations on the protection of children and minors, and do not constitute or imply an intrusion into the personal sphere or the family privacy of individuals or contravene the right to honour of third parties or existing legislation in general.

7. CONFIDENTIALITY OF INFORMATION

Adhering to this Initiative each participant accepts that the submitted project, if selected for the Final Phase may be the subject of communication activities.

The fields on the participation form and the relative documentation attached will only be viewed by:

• the work team;
• the web platform administrator to collect submissions;
• the members of the Selection Committee and the Jury;
• internal and external people at CANTABRIA LABS or companies in the CANTABRIA LABS Group who, for reasons related to the management of this Initiative, must have access to them.

The abovementioned subjects undertake to maintain and protect the confidentiality of the materials and the information subjected to their evaluation and not to use the information relating to the projects received, except for the purposes strictly related to the Initiative.

Participants, by adhering to this Initiative, also authorize the use of their image in connection with the same in the event their project is a winner or a finalist. This authorization is understood to be made without territorial limits, on a non-exclusive basis for a period of 5 years from the date of the first use and is not subject to any compensation.

8. EXCLUSION

Subjects that submit declarations and/or documentation with information in part or totally false and/or incorrect are excluded from the Initiative. Furthermore, any proposals will also be excluded if they are:

• incomplete;
• sent after the deadline indicated;
• contrary to the rules established by these regulations;
• in violation of third party intellectual or industrial property rights.

9. OBLIGATIONS OF PARTICIPANTS

Participation in the Initiative involves the complete and unconditional acceptance of the contents of these regulations.

All costs and expenses connected with the submission of projects are the sole responsibility of the candidates. Participants, by completing the registration form declare that they unconditionally accept the rules in these regulations and the evaluation of the projects in all phases of the Initiative, recognizing the absolute decision-making autonomy of CANTABRIA LABS and renouncing, by adhering to these regulations, to any reservation or dispute in this regard.

10. PUBLICATION

These regulations are published on the CANTABRIA LABS website, at the address referred to in paragraph 4. Any changes to these Regulations will be published in the same way.

11. PERSONAL DATA

Pursuant to Article 13 of (EU) Regulation 2016/679 of the European Parliament and Council of the 27th of April 2016, relating to the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data, as well as the free circulation of such data (“GDPR”), CANTABRIA LABS will process the personal data provided in writing or verbally and freely communicated, as Data Controller for the purposes of the Initiative.

CANTABRIA LABS guarantees that processing of personal data is carried out in compliance with fundamental rights and freedoms, as well as the dignity of the person concerned, with particular reference to confidentiality, personal identity and the right to the protection of personal data.
